Caroline Reid began writing for the theatre at Curtin University, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992. Since then she has been commissioned to write plays for a number of professional theatre companies and community arts organisations. She has tackled themes which are richly relevant, contemporary, and challenging—including youth suicide (in Prayer to an Iron God), living with mental illness in Hysteria, youth drug and alcohol abuse in Grip, and Multiple Sclerosis.
