We enter the world of Valeria, a woman locked in a room. Her fear conjures up the face of her husband, Richard, and her youngest child, David, for whose recent death she feels responsible. Her husband has taken himself and the remaining children away from a woman he no longer understands. The audience witnesses the fracturing of an identity. Valeria adopts the many characters that fill the room: a French aristocrat under the guillotine, a third-century saint, Blanche du Bois. 'Wolves bare their throats like this when they want to be friends. Hello friend.'
