SCRIMMAGE

by Camilla Maxwell

Scrimmage is set in or around New York City. Three different relationships attempt to survive adulting as the New York Jets set out to win the Superbowl. This play uses a two-act structure with a time lapse of a year to examine the cause and effects of people's choices. It also incorporates elements of physical comedy.

"Not all scrimmages occur on the field. The Super bowl is a good distraction for three struggling couples, but all seasons must come to an end."

AWARDS: Blue Ribbon - Manhattan Theatre Repertory, Best new play - Manhattan Theatre Source. (Originally performed as A Creed For Those Who Have Suffered).
