Eating Pomegranates is a multi-faceted response to life's most tumultuous physical and emotional rites of passage, including the ultimate crossing from life to death. With episodes told by four playwrights in a range of styles from black comedy to vaudeville to poetic naturalism and direct story-telling, the whole work is framed as a celebratory dance of life and death, taking place in a faded ballroom.
