CHARM

$5.40$15.00

The end of the fairytale has only just begun when Cinderella returns home after discovering that Prince Charming is married to numerous women (including Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Goldilocks) and is, in fact, a two-timer.

With the aid of a world-weary Fairy Godmother, the women set out to unmask the Prince’s charming ways and have their revenge. However things don’t quite turn out happily ever after when the Prince accidentally enters the ‘real world’ after drinking a charm. There, he encounters a routine-weary housewife and her somewhat dysfunctional family.

The subsequent mix of ‘worlds’ and theatrical styles, provides a comedy of manners and also an opportunity to explore aspects of romantic and familial love, fantasy and the deceptive nature of charm. In this way the play twists the apparently familiar into the unexpected…and re-tells stories we thought we knew!
