About the Collection

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]Australian Plays, a predecessor organisation of APT, was a firmly national organisation with a long and rich history in Tasmania stretching back to the 1970s. APT maintains an office in Hobart.

Of the Island is our collection of Tasmanian playwriting. It doesn’t attempt to be a full record, but we hope that over time it will grow to include not only new works from playwrights born, raised or residing in Tasmania, but also rediscovered older works and plays that deal with Tasmanian history and concerns.

such as Currency or Playlab, or have been accepted into the Australian Script Centre’s catalogue.
We welcome the submission of unsolicited scripts to BlakStage. Information on the eligibility, submission
