Pouch Potato Wildlife Park is closing down and all the animals have been evacuated except for fast talking, fast eating Fatty Wombat and his two cell mates Bunji Roo and Pat the Quokka. A Feral Beast is prowling just outside the electric fence and in a few days when the park is abandoned the power will go off the Beast will be upon them.

Fatty’s friends want him to dig a tunnel and escape but Fatty hates any kind of exercise, especially digging, and instead hatches a plan to get chosen for Natural Selection (his favourite TV game show) to win his escape and all the food he can eat. In order to win Fatty has to conquer an obstacle course and to do that he has to lose some weight and conquer his own fear and selfishness.

Time runs out and the Beast attacks but Fatty’s new found healthy attitude and regard for his friends gives him the ability and courage to defeat the Beast, complete the obstacle course and win freedom, and healthy snacks, for himself and his friends.
