Danielle Lim is a Malaysian-Australian actor, writer, theatre maker and producer based on Kaurna Country/Adelaide. She graduated with an Honours Degree in the Bachelor of Creative Arts from Flinders University, specialising in acting and drama. Danielle has performed independently and been involved with various theatre companies including ActNow Theatre, State Theatre Company South Australia, Windmill Theatre, RUMPUS Theatre, and South Australian Playwrights Theatre.
Danielle was a sharehouse resident at Carclew in 2023 and has received funding from Helpmann Academy, Carclew, City of Adelaide, and Adelaide Fringe to develop her own projects. In 2024, she wrote, produced, and performed in the world premiere of her first multi-disciplinary theatre project, Caught In Between, at the Adelaide Fringe. She won a weekly Fringe award for her performance.
As an arts worker, Danielle has worked with ActNow Theatre as their Program Coordinator, along with CAAP and OzAsia Festival as the coordinator for the Artist Lab that was held in South Australia in 2023.
Danielle is passionate about championing Asian-Australian stories on stage and screen, hoping to inspire more Asian-Australians to pursue an arts career.
