Sian Murphy is a writer, director and producer based in Naarm/Melbourne. Originally from regional New South Wales, Sian graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with a Bachelor in Performance Making in 2019.

Sian is an award winning artist whose recent work includes devising and performing ALLSTARS at the State Theatre Centre of WA and directing the sell-out season of Pull the Pin by Just Friends at The Blue Room Theatre. Sian is an alumni of The Last Great Hunt’s Gatherers Collective, the Perth Festival Lab cohort of 2023, as well as Black Swan State Theatre Company’s Forge writing program.

Sian is passionate about championing new work in Australia, and has worked with various artists and organisations to plan, promote and successfully deliver independent and mainstage projects and programs that celebrate Australian stories and culture.
