Michael is an award-winning director working for over 25 years in theatre, television and film as an actor, director and producer. As an independent he has has toured internationally at Edinburgh Fringe, Kansas City Fringe, Melbourne’s Theatre Works and Sydney Seymour Centre. Michael holds a B Arts, B Media and a Master of Philosophy in Anthropology of theatre. His research-led-practice is based on social dramaturgy and ethno-drama. He is currently exploring online, live-streamed theatre as part of a PhD in Anthropology of performance studies. He is a leading anthropologist in contemporary performance studies, social dramaturgy, ethno-drama, cultural policy, media analysis, live streaming performance and online theatre.
