Daley Rangi (Te Ä€tiawa) is an eclectic multidisciplinary MÄori artist generating unpredictable and uncomfortable works. A proud advocate for neurodiversity and bodily integrity, they evade categorisation and invade the status quo, speaking truth to power and setting hierarchies alight. They write plays and poetry, create participatory live performance, and paint self-portraits and mountains.
Their key works include Lipstuck, Tataraimaka Moana (Beautiful Place by the Sea), TakatÄpui, PorotÄ“hi, Fever, and Curiosity, which was shortlisted for the 2020 Griffin Award and Patrick White Playwrights Award. They currently reside, work, and make between Boorloo on Whadjuk Noongar boodja, and Warrang on Gadigal country, and they were born near NgÄ Motu in Taranaki, on Te Ika-a-MÄui, Aotearoa. MÄ pango, mÄ whero, ka oti ai te mahi.
