Kit Brookman

Kit is a writer and director. His plays include Whalesong (East 15 School of Acting, London), Close, (Landor Space), The Plant (Ensemble Theatre), The Great Fire (Belvoir), A Rabbit for Kim Jong-il (Griffin), Nora (Belvoir, co-written with Anne-Louise Sarks), Small and Tired (Belvoir), Night maybe (Stuck Pigs Squealing) and Heaven. He’s been awarded the Rodney Seaborn Award, the Philip Parsons Fellowship and the Ensemble Theatre New Writing Commission. He co-directed Is This Thing On? with Zoe Coombs-Marr for Belvoir and directed the premiere productions of Heaven and Small and Tired, which was nominated for Best New Australian Work at the 2013 Sydney Theatre Awards.
