SUE INGLETON: ACTOR, DIRECTOR, PLAYWRIGHT, AUTHOR, FACILITATOR

Although an architect, Sue began her professional career in theatre around 1971 as a member of the avant-garde Australian Performing Group-Collective in Melbourne at the Pram Factory Theatre. Theatre is her life's passion, a passion that has extended itself not only into writing, directing & performing but also to teaching and thence to the discovery of shamanic theatre techniques, enhanced by her own training and development which has led to the training of young people, searching for their life path. She is an award winning actor and writer and has performed in UK, North America, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Greece, Nth Korea, the Netherlands and Malaysia, and worked for all major theatre companies including, ICA London, and Adelaide International Festival of Arts, Montreal Juste Pour Rire, MICF, Festival of Fools- Penzance, and New York International Theatre Fringe Festival. She has written eleven plays and two books and contributed to three collections of short stories. Is a shamanic healer and sacred celebrant and runs workshops in these areas. Awarded R.E.Ross Playwrights Award, an Edinburgh Fringe Perrier Nomination and the Sydney Myer Performing Arts Individual Award, along with The Gloria Dawn/Gloria Peyten Award.

As an agent of change, she has dedicated her creative life to fighting for equality for women. The personal is political. Her work has been rewarded and awarded for its innovative, irreverent, ground -breaking, rule-breaking commitment to finding Truth which serves to both heal and to excite audiences at home and abroad.
