Fiona Sprott is enrolled in the Master of Creative Arts, at University of Technology, Sydney where she is researching and writing a new work Single Girls and Serial Killers: sex, slaughter and the city. Her latest monologue-cabaret show, Easy Ryder was premiered as part of the program of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival 2005 in the new venue, The JB Room. This continues a tradition of darkly comic approaches to issues of female sexuality and gender roles, specifically as it relates to romantic myths and fictions. Themes of violence, desire, grief, unstable emotions, chaos, and life on the 'fringe' of Normal attract her. In 2003 drowning in my ocean of You was premiered in October at the Queen's Theatre in Adelaide, as a feature project supported by the STCSA Theatre Laboratory project, and sponsored by the Dramatic Women. Her company Savage Wit Productions have toured Often I find that I am naked and Partly it's about love, partly it's about massacre (monologues featuring character Jezebel) nationally.
