Adam Grossetti was born in Innisfail, Far North Queensland and raised in Cairns. His plays include Dogs, Pitchfork, Lost Lagoon, Cavallo A Horse Cavallo, Bird of Prey, Hotel and Mano Nera. A graduate of the Queensland University of Technology Adam has worked in one capacity or another in theatre, film and television for companies such as Queensland Theatre Company, La Boite Theatre, Belvoir Street Theatre and Bsharp at Downstairs Belvoir Street, The Old Fitzroy Hotel and in administration at the Royal National Theatre, London.
His plays have been staged in New South Wales, Western Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland and heard on ABC Radio National. Adam has worked as an actor in television, theatre and short film: having written, co-directed and acted in many of the latter which have been screened at national film festivals throughout Australia.
Adam is a recipient of the Philip Parsons Young Playwright’s Award for his play Lost Lagoon and the 2004 Queensland Premiers Award for Drama for his play Mano Nera, published by Playlab Press.
