Kate Wyvill

Kate Wyvill is a playwright, actor, director and performance coach based in Darwin.

She trained as an actor in the mid-eighties at the Q Theatre, Penrith, New South Wales and has performed in a variety of theatres in Australia and the UK.

Recent performance credits in Darwin include;

Away - Michael Gow (2020), The Crucible - Arthur Miller (2018), Mr Takahashi & Other Falling Secrets - Sandra Thibodeaux (2017), Glass Menagerie - Tennessee Williams (2015), and God of Carnage - Yasmina Reza (2013).

Kate’s produced scripts include;

Going Potty performed by Kate, directed by Denise Gilfoyle, Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2004, West Midlands UK tour 2005 and Hampstead London season 2007.

The Wardrobe directed by Kate, Darwin Entertainment Centre 2010.

Marbles directed by Kate, Brown’s Mart Theatre, Darwin 2012. Crying Chair Theatre production directed by Christine Greenough, The Actors Pulse Sydney 2018.

And I’m the Queen of Sheba directed by Grace Barnes, Brown’s Mart Theatre, Darwin 2016 and Gail Evans, Brown’s Mart Theatre, Darwin 2019.

Kate’s work has been supported by Arts Council England, the Australia Council for the Arts and the Northern Territory Government.
