Abe Pogos

Abe Pogos has been writing scripts since graduating from the VCA School of Drama in 1984. In 1990 he received an AWGIE nomination for Intruders and a nomination for an AFI award for his screenplay Compo. In 1991 he wrote the libretto for Sweet Death, which was performed by Chamber Made Opera. In 1996 his play The Art of Walking was produced by Soup Kitchen in association with Art-Ed, and Strangers in the Night (winner of the Samuel Weisberg award for playwriting) was produced by Playbox Theatre. She Came Shining and Escape from the Living Dead were performed in 1999 and 2000 respectively at La Mama, and Toby was produced in 2004. His work for television includes Stingers, Something in the Air, Blue Heelers, Marshall Law, Always Greener and MDA.
