NICK PARSONS

Nick Parsons

Nick Parsons is a graduate of Sydney University, the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). He has directed more than a dozen stage plays, a number of short films, and has extensive writing credits. Dead Heart, for which he wrote the play and the screenplay, was the first full-length feature that he directed. He is the son of the founders of Currency Press, Katharine Brisbane and Philip Parsons and is the current Chairman. In addition to his career as a filmmaker, he is Director of Screen Publications at Currency.

In 2012 Parsons was joint winner of an AWGIE award for Best Original Television Mini-Series for The Straits.
