Michael Andrew Collins is a playwright from Perth who now lives in Sydney.
He has been nominated for the Patrick White (Furthest West, 2015), Silvergull (Furthest West), and Griffin Theatre Company (Body Farm, 2016) Playwriting Awards.
Michael is also the winner of the inaugural Foundation Commission (2017) from Australian Theatre for Young People, and the play he developed for that commission, Impending Everyone, premiered at the SBW Stables Theatre in June of 2018.
Other writing of Michael’s has been featured in Voiceworks, dotdotdash, and sitelines, been produced at the Blue Room Theatre, and has won things from the Fellowship of Australian Writers, His Majesty’s Theatre Trust, Perth Fringe Festival, and the Arts Council of Mansfield.
