Throughout her teaching career Maria Bonacci found she had a natural ability and passion for the arts which she used to reach difficult children that others found difficult to teach and raise their self esteem. This in turn inspired her to produce and direct three musical productions for her school community which encompassed singing, dancing and drama e.g. Rookie High 2007 and Be Cool Be You 2009.
She is now an artist, a carer for her loving parents and has been learning to master the skill of playwriting resulting in her first children’s play Alejandra (a Cinderella story about coal seam gas). Maria is looking forward to continuing this wonderful writing journey as a playwright.
