Irene Korsten

A graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts (majoring in dramatic art), Irene has written plays, one-person shows and stand-up comedy.
Ordinary Misery received excellent reviews, full houses, a Green Room award for writing and was Highly Commended at the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards.
Irene then went on to complete The Professional Writing and Editing Diploma at RMIT which included a professional placement at Allen & Unwin.
As a freelance writer and copy-editor she has worked for (among others) The Australian Screenwriters Guild, Green magazine, La Mama Theatre and The University of Melbourne.
She has recently completed her first novel, Audrey.
