Jessica Messenger has worked as a career guidance counsellor, children's theatre actor, drama teacher and even on occasion a birthday fairy. With a large involvement in community theatre, her début as a playwright came in 2008 when she directed Rain for Arena Arts and Entertainment Inc, taking out Best Direct at the ITA Dramafest. Rain has since gone on to be short-listed in the 2008 Inscription awards and Jessica has been commissioned to write two more plays for Theatre in Schools projects.
