Bruce Keller was best known for his 1985 children's play PUPPY LOVE published by Currency Press in 1991, and still being performed nationally and internationally. In 1979, he was co-founder of Melbourne's Anthill Theatre. After returning to Sydney in 1987, he worked as a performer, director, dramaturge and playwright, most notably in group devised work in contemporary theatre, and as a writer/director for theatre for young people throughout Australia. Beginning in 1991, he formed many cultural links with South East Asia - especially Vietnam. He was co-Artistic Director with Ta Duy Binh of Citymoon, the Vietnamese Australian Contemporary Theatre Company. He died in 2003.
