Julia Osborne lived for many years in different parts of rural New South Wales, from Boomi to Deniliquin, before returning to Sydney in 1990.
Her short stories have been published in the literary magazines Meanjin, Island, Antipodes (USA) and Panurge (UK), as well as Australian Penthouse, The Australian Women's Weekly and Family Circle.
Her novel Falling Glass (2002) is set in Glebe against the background of media reportage of the 1991 Gulf War.
Julia has adapted two of her short stories (Menace and The Burial) for the stage, and is currently working on a third play.
