BA in Communication with First Class Honours at UTS, Sydney & a Fullbright Scholar at Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Radio plays produced by the ABC include Watermark, Angelina's Song, Children See Everything, Fire and The Art of Straying. Stage plays include I am an island, Free Men, andBlood is Blue. She has published criticism and reviews in national and international journals, and has won awards for her short stories and plays including the Ian Reed Foundation Prize(1997), NSW Ministery for the Arts Young Playwright's Award(1996), and Sydney Theatre Company-ICI's Young Playwright's Award(1995 & 1996). Her debut novel Homework was published by Bloomsbury in 1999.
