Sara Hardy

Sara Hardy trained in acting at Dartington College of Arts in the UK. Writing credits include: Vita! – a fantasy which premiered in Melbourne in 1989 with Radclyffe Theatre Productions, directed by Lois Ellis. This play was produced by various companies around Australia and won an Oscarts award in Adelaide for Best New Play 1992, published in Heroines.

Other plays include She Of The Electrolux, La Boite, Brisbane 1995, Radclyffe, co-authored with Adele Saleem, which toured extensively and Who Knows? performed at the Royal Court, 1979. Three of Sara’s pieces have appeared in the Mad Woman Monologues seasons: ‘Something Useful’ (2012), ‘Not Cricket’ (2015) and 'The Tree Hugger' (2016). Sara is the author of two biographies: The Unusual Life of Edna Walling and Dame Joan Hammond – Love and Music both published by Allen and Unwin.
