Skye Loneragan

Skye is a critically-acclaimed writer/performer/ theatre director and Sydney Poetry Prize winner (2012). Her first of five solo shows, Cracked, won an Edinburgh Fringe First, toured internationally and was adapted for ABC Radio National. Her solo shows include: Unsex Me Here, My Right Thumb, The Line We Draw, and Plucked of Purpose - the Adventures of P.B.

She was originally a founding member of Sydney's Ricochet Working Productions, (Theatre Nepean grad), and has performed with companies here and abroad (such as Vanishing Point). Skye was Playwright in Residence with Visible Fictions Theatre Co. Her play for young people, Mish Gorecki Goes Missing, was shortlisted for 3 UK awards.

Her writing/directing credits include: Staying Awake For You (read at Griffin Theatre Syd) and The Umbrella & the Billow (read at The Traverse, Edin & TRS Syd).

She is an Arches Theatre Young Directors Award recipient (UK), Big Brother Movement Drama Award winner (Sydney), recipient of New Writers Awards and the Scottish Federation of Theatre's Unplugged bursary to research the intersection of new writing and installation art in an Indian context. Her practice includes public engagement strategies which hinge on the arousal of curiosity, such as Q-POETICS (Sydney Writers Festival 2012 and at Commonwealth Games, Glasgow 2014) and Making A Map of My Mistakes (ongoing - initially installed at New Victoria Hospital, Glasgow).
