John Misto is an Arts/Law graduate from the University of New South Wales. He has been a writer since 1981, after working as a solicitor. His play Harp on the Willow won the Rodney Seaborn Playwright’s Award for Best New Australian Play. The Shoe-Horn Sonata won the NSW Premier’s Literary Award for Best Play and the Australia Remembers National Play Competition. For his work in television he has won three AFI Awards and three Australian Writers’ Guild Awards. He had a crime fiction novel, The Devil's Companions, published by Hodder in may 2005.
