Tim Gooding

Tim Gooding writes for stage, film, and TV. Productions of his plays include Rock-Ola! (Nimrod, Syd; Playbox Melb; Adelaide Festival); King Of Country (STC; Playbox Melb; Theatre ACT); The Astounding Optimissimos (Tasmanian Th. Co; Actors Co; Pram Factory); Tentshow Pagliacci (Nimrod); and Drums Along The Diamantina (STC).

He translated Moliere's The Miser for the 2004 STC production directed by Jean-Pierre Mignon.

Feature film credits include Heatwave and On The Loose. He is recipient of a "Distinctly Australian" Fellowship from the Australian Film Commission.

Television work includes the series Sweet and Sour (creator/writer), The Aunty Jack Show, The Garry McDonald Show, Wollongong The Brave, Heartbreak High, Rafferty's Rules, Mortified, plus numerous police, judicial, and medical series, on land, sea, and in the air.

Tim founded the band XL Capris, best known for the cult classic My City Of Sydney, the only Australian disc found in legendary UK DJ John Peel's "battered wooden box" of favourite 45s when, following Peel's death, the contents of the box were revealed in a Channel 4 television special.
