Lauren Scott-Young

LAUREN is an emerging artist based in Sydney, Australia. Since graduating from the University of Wollongong’s performance course in 2013, she has been involved in the creation and performing of various works with several ensembles, both internationally and locally. These works include Phedre (2014), The Face Show (2014), LOVELY (2014), As I Lay Dreaming (2015), Out of Line (2015), The Forest Unyielding (2016) and Tom William Mitchell (2017). In 2018, she again performed in Tom William Mitchell as part of the inaugural MerrigongX season. In 2020 Lauren directed Shopfront Arts Co-op’s Junior Ensemble in Never, Ever, written by Alex Tutton and, in 2021 & 2022, worked to develop a new work as part of MerrigongX.

Lauren has worked with various arts companies as a program manager, consultant and tutor. These companies include Shopfront Arts Co-op, Milk Crate Theatre, Marion St Theatre, The Australian World Orchestra and Auspicious Projects.
