THE SHANE & CATHRYN BRENNAN PRIZE FOR PLAYWRITING NOW OPEN FOR ENTRIES

The Shane & Cathryn Brennan Prize for Playwriting has been developed to discover and celebrate the best new scripts among Australian playwrights. With $60,000 in prize money on offer, the Prize invites playwrights to submit unproduced plays across two categories: Stage and Theatre for Young Audiences. 

The 2021 Shane and Cathryn Brennan Prize for Playwriting opened Tuesday 7 December 2021 and will close 5pm Monday 31 January 2022 (AEDT).

In turns macabre, sardonic, and candid, audiences are invited to challenge themselves; to listen and sit with the truth amidst an electrifying storm of story and sound
