A member of a website for the theatre community asks for a review of a recent amateur musical production. Other members of the website respond that the show was terrible. The stage is set for a massive flame war.

A writer sends out an email to all the people involved in the production and the discussion about it, inviting them to contribute to a verbatim theatre piece which will present the actual online forum onstage, interspersed with interviews with those who contributed and those who were affected by it. Apocalypse Perth is the result.
