When American talk-show legend and host of 'Private Lives of the Stars' Harry Zilco arrives in Townsville to kick off the first leg of his Australian tour - only to discover that his syndicated show has been cancelled after ten years - he suffers career meltdown. He and his manager/wife Sonia are offered sanctuary in a boarding house run by Townsville local Joycie Pound and her Aboriginal family. Harry is transformed by the experience of the indigenous Australian cultural divide.
