Castaway is one of four short plays that make-up the major work The Boat. It has been produced as a professional play in own right and has been used as a teaching aide at NIDA. It is set on the coast where a disparate group of women meet to take an arts class. The subject is a boat. As they sketch and paint each character remembers key aspects of their lives in the form of monologues.
