It is the eve of Carnivale and a Renaissance astronomer, Dr Leo, who works in the leaning tower of Pisa, is charged with unwittingly planting audacious theories into the minds of others. Antonio, his Inquisitor, is a formidable adversary. But in the course of the play, young Mario, Dr Leo's assistant, becomes an unexpected advocate, prepared to risk all in order to save the doctor from his grand Inquisitor.
'[A] very fast-paced comedy, almost a farce. Sort of commedia del arte... a cross between Ionesco and Moliere, Monty Python and Steve Martin.' Michael Gow, Queensland Theatre Company.
