Tegan is a deeply disturbed young woman - moody, unpredictable and tormented by horrifying dreams -locked in a remand cell and awaiting trial for a violent crime. Her past is shrouded in mystery. Her lawyer engages a psychiatrist to help prepare Tegan's defence. The play presents Tegan's story in dislocated fragments as the lawyer, the doctor and a detective independently probe her past. The play moves backward and forward in time. Backward as details of Tegan's trauma emerge and forward as her predicament continues to unfold in real time. Tegan slides into madness as past, present and future collide.
