GROWING DOWN

$5.40$10.00

Kathy and Stephen have just returned form their daughter's wedding to their comfortable middle class existence. The wedding stimulates reminiscences of their own wedding and reflections of their own past. Kathy is keen to retain or recapture some of their excitement of their youth; growing up in the sixties. Stephen however, appears to be content with his career and middle class conservative lifestyle which has evolved over the past thirty years of their lives. But all that can change, and does so with Kathy using a couple of 'change agents' from their past.

EXTRACT: When I was into all that we had real issues...Vietnam and democracy being compromised by Gough's sacking. Real issues! I'm not exactly in favour of damming every creek or cutting down every tree 'round the place, but there must be some balance. Bloody Kathy would protest about the environmental effect of halitosis if she had the chance.
