THE ENGLISHMAN’S CASTLE

$5.40$15.00

Everybody has read about the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, but did you know one of Vincent's closest friends was an Australian artist named John Peter Russell? This play not only explores that friendship, it uses the story of one expatriate's personal journey as the basis for a much wider discussion about Australian identity and our place in the world. Who are we? Where do we belong? Is there such a thing as "Australianness"? Is Nationalism good or bad? This play attempts to provide some answers.
