Unlike the now fairly common shadow-play ‘presentations’ (not plays, but entertainments like illustrating popular song lyrics etc), relying on effects through human-form shapes, the modern live-action shadow play advocates direct-acting techniques with pre-modelled props to liven up the scene flexibilities needed to put on full-storied plays -- while keeping the magic and mystique of traditional ‘shadows-on-the-wall’ with the storytelling ‘hum’.
