Andrew Chia is your average 16-year-old. He's neither a hero nor a loser. He prefers to blend in and not rock the boat. His best friend, Robbo, has a stronger social conscience than Andrew. Robbo accuses Andrew of being a bystander because he doesn't intervene when he sees an Asian kid being bullied by a racist gang. But when the Chia's business is targeted by the same gang, Andrew decides to fight back.
