WELL BEETON!

$5.40$15.00

A delicious feast of food and fun.

The famous 19th Century cookery writer, Isabella Mary Beeton, was the Delia Smith, the Margaret Fulton, the Julia Child of the Victorian era and her Book of Household Management became famous throughout the world.

In Well Beeton!, ‘Bella’ Beeton is magically transported to the present day and onto the set of the top rating television show, Book The Cook.

Hosted by stand up comic, Paul Koffey, Mrs Beeton gets involved in a fierce, competitive cook-off with Australia’s ‘Queen of the Outback Chefs’, Dawn Dawson.

Friction and tension stirs up between the two rivals and the heat escalates in the studio kitchen.

Isabella and Dawn are not only from different eras and different countries, but also hold fervently different attitudes to food, cooking, housekeeping and personal relationships.

Clashes are inevitable. Can Paul keep the peace? Can he stay sober? And will the show ever get to air?

Well Beeton! involves the audience in a dramatic cooking show that crosses Knives and Time, with an entertaining focus on both past and contemporary attitudes to food and household chores.
