About

At Melbourne Theatre Company, we’re for stories. The stories less told, the stories told before and the stories yet to be told. As Victoria’s state theatre company and a department of the University of Melbourne, we deliver an annual program of live performance and related activity at our Southbank Theatre home and as resident theatre company at Arts Centre Melbourne. Since 1953, we have presented more than 850 productions and been at the forefront of groundbreaking new work that has shaped artists, audiences and the country.
These resources are a sample of what’s available in our Education Hub, an ever-expanding library of digital resources. The collection available here, curated with Australian Plays Transform, showcase new Australian voices and texts that have featured on the VCE Theatre Studies and Drama Playlists. We also encourage you to explore the short courses, virtual tours, behind-the-scenes videos and comprehensive theatre terminology glossary in the Education Hub. Login or sign up for free to access more.
As you use these resources, you might find yourself inspired to tell your own story – we encourage you to read about our Learning Programs to discover opportunities for you to meet our staff and artists and explore your creativity through theatre.
Theatre is for everyone, and it’s a privilege to share these stories and resources with you.
