SHANGRI-LA

$5.40$15.00

Shangri-La is a quartet of plays all set in and around a beach holiday house on the far south coast of New South Wales. The first play deals with the building of the house at the turn of last century. The second play, Still Life, is set in the beach house in 1946 just after World War 2. This play is also able to be performed as a one-act play in its own right. The third play is set in the 1960s and features an eccentric family in which the children are conservative and the parents are rebellious. The final play is set in the present day when a group of young squatters, on the run from the law, break into the deserted beach house. The plays are primarily comic and can be performed by theatre companies, youth theatre, community theatre and secondary schools.
