Between training cycles and supply runs, best friends Alex and Cam debate the values they can and cannot leave behind as their fight for survival intensifies. In an underground burrow, the two friends confront their proximity to danger, ill health, and their pursuit for mutually assured survival. As temperatures, sea levels, and fascists rise, Cam is getting sicker, and reckons with their body, mortality, and their responsibility to survive: for Alex, for others, and for theirself.
‘How to Eat Rabbit’ is a response to climate catastrophes, the myth of individualism, and the proximity of disability to danger. The play has been developed by queer, disabled theatremakers using queer, disabled, accessible methodologies.
Would you eat the rabbit?
