Julia Lewis' plays have been performed at Star of the Sea, Manly; Darlinghurst's Tap Gallery; Bondi Pavilion; Zenith Theatre, Chatswood and Parramatta Riverside Theatre. Her first play Statues of David had a sell-out season at the Sydney Fringe Festival, won Best Australian Play at Theatrefest and was shortlisted for the inaugural Griffin Theatre Award. The Baggage Handler was staged at Manly Festival in 2006. Life Drawing first appeared at Parramatta Riverside theatre and returned in a new production in 2013 as part of Factory Space Theatre Company's Sex, Death and Chocolate.
