Darrelyn Gunzburg is a playwright and a film-maker. Her involvement with the film industry began in the mid 1970's with crew credits on such films as 'The Last Wave', 'The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith' and 'Against the Wind', and she worked as a documentary film-maker for Film Australia in the early 1980's. She left Film Australia to train at NIDA and graduated from the Director's Course in 1985. Her plays have won several awards, including a 1991 Awgie for 'Behind The Beat' and she has been the recipient of Australia Council Grants and Fellowships, including a Writers Residency at the prestigious Keesing Studio Paris in 1992. 'Glass Shadows' was recently workshopped by State Theatre Company, SA, with Rodney Fisher directing. Her most recent film is 'A Short Film About...SNoRING' (Round Tower Productions) which has gone on to screen at a plethora of national and international film festivals and was recently sold to the Comedy channel.
