RUTH MELVILLE

Ruth Melville’s fiction and non-fiction work has been published in Island, Tirra Lirra, Meanjin, the Big Issue and The Australian.

Playwriting credits include: ‘Pudding and Prayers’ for MAP Theatre at The Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts, Brisbane; ‘Fish Tank’ and ‘The Equation’ for Sydney Fringe; ‘Adrift’ for Cut and Paste (Rock Surfers); ‘A Moment’ for Somersault Theatre’s Risk project; and ‘The Complete Guide’, part of the Asylum series at Old 505 Theatre.

Ruth’s qualifications include a BA (Theatre and Sociology) from UNSW and MA (Creative Writing) from UTS. She was shortlisted for the Inscription Edward Albee Playwriting Scholarship in 2013 and 2014.
