AN EVENING WITH WALTER PLINGE

$5.40$15.00

An actor has been understudying a role in a badly written and directed play which is so bad it has become a cult hit. After two years understudying and going through his life in the theater he is suddenly called to the stage manager's office. He appears with the lead actor's costume. He is on that night.

Or is he?

Walter is as ready as he has ever been. But is the audience ready for him?

EXTRACT: Whilst playing the Theatre Royal Nottingham a few years ago it was decided that renovations should take place around the theatre. This resulted in a structure surrounding the stage door which made easy entry a virtual impossibility. Having lost a degree of hurdling agility I decided not to embark upon this daily obstruction and began to enter through the foyer, thus into the auditorium, up the aisle to the stage and wings and so on to my dressing room.
