ANTARCTIC JOURNEY

$5.40$10.00

A woman is travelling to Antarctica on board an ANARE ship. She reflects on her encounters with the ice, with distance and isolation and with the vast unknowable Antarctic continent, as well as the claustrophobia of shipboard life and the entanglements of people with different cultures and experiences. The text is a mixture of free verse, prose, documentary commentary and sound effects and reflects an inner psychic travelling as well as an outer journey. (Variable cast. Can be done with fewer performers.)
