EXTRACT: When the moon come up it was big and fat and yellow. The woman with the beautiful skin was frightened. Said her husband was a dark man with strange ways. Said he was cursin' them now, she could feel it. But Carlo, bein' the kind of bloke that he was, refused to believe they were cursed, that is, until two years later, right after the birth of their son, she went missin'. Carlo was the one to find the body on the southwest fence line, the barbed wire tied in a bow like Christmas tinsel, 'round her throat.
